Through digital weaving, photography, sound and sculpture, my work involves processes of editing and translation. I explore what gets lost and what can be found in the translation between the media. I weave what I find anew in different patterns, while holding a tension between code-languages and daily details, maintaining an intimacy while not revealing too much.
Exploring relations between scale and imagination my work focuses the intimacies of hidden lives that exists in-between private and public space.
I look into captioning and subtitling as types of alternative texts and translations. By hand-weaving film stills and captions slower, holding something still that is usually viewed in motion, my work questions the dominant speeds in which images circulate.
