Through weaving and photographic material, my work involves processes of editing and translation. Using material that is found online, I explore what gets lost and what can be found in the translation from one image to another. I weave what I find anew in different patterns, while holding a tension between code-languages and daily details. With love for the small, my work focusses on attention and transparency, maintaining an
intimacy while not revealing too much.
My recent work focusses on captioning and subtites as types of alternative text. Through the act of weaving the captions by hand, my work questions the dominant speeds
in which images circulate.
